SYLLABUS NOTEBOOK SUGGESTIONS
          INFORMATION UPDATE 1/4/8:

      ASSIGNMENTS and NOTES: Your problem assignments, text notes and
      class notes are checked during regular test times. Turn in your course
      notebook as you enter the test time and take it with you when you leave
      the test.

      First choice and free printfreegraphpaper.com is the best for this course. Print from any computer with a printer!

      Second choice Quadrille Ruled, 8 1/2" x 11", quarter Inch white paper with a light blue graph grid is very good for math notebook paper. Sold everywhere!

      Third choice is the Engineering Graph Paper with a green grid on one side. Other side is great to write and do computations on. Work on the plain side where the grid just shows through. Sold in our book store. Picture Links to see this paper.


PLACE ALL MATERIAL IN SEQUENTIAL SYLLABUS ORDER:

For each section of material covered, place the material in sequential syllabus order in a simple three prong paper folder with no pockets. The upper right corner of each notebook page needs to give the content type


IN ORDER:

      FIRST - Text notes - upper right corner marked TN SEC. #.#,

      SECOND - Class notes - upper right corner marked CN SEC. #.#,

  then

      THIRD - Assignment exercises - upper right corner marked AE SEC. #.# ,

  for the chapter.

  It would be nice if you put your name on the front cover!

GRADE CHANGING EXTRA CREDIT (ec) POINTS:
+ 2 points for textbook notes - upper right corner marked TN SEC. #.#
+ 2 points for class notes - upper right corner marked CN SEC. #.#
+ 3 for completely worked homework exercises - upper right corner marked AE SEC. #.#
= Seven extra credit points that are given via a quick review of the thoroughness and spot checked for accuracy of your work. These extra credit points will be added to C or higher test points.

CLASS TIME(!!!!) ASSIGNMENT EXTRA CREDIT: You may give yourself one point extra credit, after class on the day's attendance sheet, for each problem you put on the board. The problem is taken from another student's request listed before the hour of the class. {EXAMPLE: Problem number listed before 12:59 for a 1 p.m. class.}
