D is the dwell time, the time a hand spends holding an object.

V is the vacant or empty hand time.

F is the object's flight time.

B stands for the number of objects tossed and

H for the number of hands doing the tossing.

F + D is the time in seconds for an object cycle.

V + D is the time in seconds for a hand cycle.
